Weekend

Happy Monday! I know a lot of people dread Monday, but I don't see why. It is just like every other day of the week! It's time to start your week fresh and new! I had a really great weekend! I didn't do anything spectacular but it was just a really relaxing weekend. If you know me, you know that I don't get to "relax" too often. By now, you are wondering what I did. Well, I will tell ya! Friday night I hung out with one my friends that I work with, Amanda Autrey! She is pretty awesome! You see, this is a BIG deal because we always attempt to make plans but I always have to back out because of my busy life. A few blogs ago, I mentioned how big of a Food Network addiction I have recently formed. Well......one day Sandra Lee fixed peanut butter and jelly pancakes on Money Saving Meals. Since breakfast and peanut butter are two of my favorite things, I immediately wanted to fix them!! Which leads me to what I did Friday night. I wanted to buy one of those griddles, so I could make my peanut butter pancakes. That is where our adventure started! We went to Wal-Mart after work and I bought a griddle! Then, we went to Buffalo Wild Wings. This was my first time eating at the one in Tupleo and it was really good! After we ate, we went to the mall to waste time before the movie where I ended up spending more money on a cell phone case! Technically, I didn't need one because my other one was fine, but I was sick of looking at my old one so I bought a new one! Typical. Finally it was time for the movie. We went to the Malco and watched this movie:

It was AWESOME! The cast was incredible, the story line was incredible, the graphics were incredible, it was just incredible. It made me want to watch all of the MARVEL movies produced before this one! I am a huge action junky. Don't get me wrong, I love a sweet romantic movie but I really LOVE an action packed movie! Then on Saturday, I had to work! ALL day by myself. I was pretty busy so the day went by fast! I was eager to get home because I wanted to try out my peanut butter and jelly pancakes! When I got home, I started on the meal!!! I wish I would have taken pictures but I forgot! I fixed peanut butter pancakes, jelly syrup, eggs, and bacon. Needless to say it was delicious. Breakfast is my favorite meal and I could eat it any time of day! You might think peanut butter pancakes sound disgusting but they are really good! You can get the recipe HERE. Try it. Trust me. I didn't make my own mix. I bought already made batter and just added water. For the peanut butter, I added a cup of milk into the saucepan and added the amount of peanut butter the recipe called for. When the peanut butter was melted, I added it to the batter mix. :) If you want the peanut butter to stand out more, I would add more peanut butter. I added what the recipe called for and I could taste the peanut butter just fine!

You're mouth just watered.
They were a HIT at my house! Everyone loved them! I will definitely be making them again in the future! When we finished eating, I watched Iron Man 2 on Netflix. Haha. Seriously. When I get fixated on something, I go a little overboard. I was bummed when I couldn't find the first Iron Man on Netflix so I had to watch Iron Man 2. Which was funny because Sunday night, Iron Man came on FX. Of course. And of course it came on at 10:00 p.m. when  I was half asleep. I did good though. I watched most of the movie but by 12:00 a.m. I couldn't hold my eyes open. Oh well. I will just have to wait until it comes on again! That pretty much sums up my relaxing weekend! I hope all of y'all had wonderful weekend and I hope y'all have a wonderful Monday!

In The Mood to Create

For some reason, I have been in the mood to create lately. What to do when you want to create? Pinterest. I don't like to be a copy cat, but I am so busy at the moment it's hard to come up with something on my own. Sad, I know. I always laugh at myself because I pin all of these DIY ideas and NEVER do any of it. Not this time! I pinned a cute idea and dang-it I am going to make it! It is super cute and will de-clutter my antique dresser I have in my room right now! What is it, you ask? It is a picture frame earring holder! If you haven't seen one, you are missing out! Here is what it looks like!

Sooooo Cute!

You want to make one now don't you?!? I have been saying for at least 2 months I was going to make this, so I am excited about getting started on it! I will post pictures of the finished product! :) I am also creating something to hang my necklaces! You have probably seen this before if you have Pinterest! All it is, is a piece of wood with door knobs on it! The knobs is what makes it! You can choose any kind you want! They can all look the same or they can all be different! This is what it looks like:

Thanks Pinterest!

APRIL 27, 2011

A year ago today, our forecast looked like this. It is hard to believe that it has been a year since this devastating day. My heart goes out to all of those who lost loved ones.  I can't imagine what that must feel like.

To all of you who still have loved ones, take time (not just today) to let them know how much you love them!

Also, for those who weren't involved in the tornadoes, but eagerly sat in front of the T.V. anxiously watching The Weather Channel to see which town was in the death path, be thankful for your life and thank the Lord for watching over you! One more thing, keep those who were effected by this devastation close to your heart today and lift them up with prayers!

Have a wonderful day!

Also, I would greatly appreciate any tips that you might have to offer on how to make blogging easier! :)
